Intek 2020 Newsletter Warehouse Librarian Q1

A New Start

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.” ~ Neil Gaiman

Mobile Device for Web – Pre BETA Release

We continue to test our Mobile Device for Web system in both functionality and deployment process. A group of us at Intek recently spent a week dialing in the process of deployment along with further functionality testing. This same group then headed to one of our customer’s sites to setup and test this new functionality in their environment. This was a very successful trip and our customer is quite happy with how everything works. This was testing of the installation process and baseline functional testing. We will return to do BETA testing within the next couple of months. Keep your eyes here for further updates!

Mass Inventory Deprecation

Have you ever wanted the ability to remove all receipt IDs from a single location in a quick, simple process? Now in version 10, a user with the proper rights can zero out all stock in a location. Warehouse Librarian, making your life easier.

Applications to Services Update

As those of you who’ve been reading these newsletters know, we are in the midst of converting a number of our applications into services. The Host Interface upload and download processes have been moved into separate Windows services. The upload and download services use the same code base and configurations as the Host Interface application. These are currently being tested. AOM (Auto Order Manager) has been converted to a Windows service. It uses the same configurations as the AOM application. We are in the process of testing this.

The Conveyor Director application has been split into a Conveyor Director Manager and a Conveyor Director Service. The Conveyor Director Manager application allows users to initiate functions to route totes, query totes, and cancel tote routing. This will allow the Conveyor Director Service program to provide tote routing instructions to the Conveyor Control System. These are also currently being tested. Lots of progress in these major endeavors. We will continue to update you in subsequent issues of this newsletter. Warehouse Librarian, being more of a “Service” to you!
